Thank you for visiting the Minden Opera House ‘Nebraska Framed’ Show.

About John:

  • John has been a lifelong photographer and a Nebraska native.  He grew up in Minden and considers this ‘Home’.  
  • John has been a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International for over 25 years as well as numerous local art and photography clubs and organizations.
  • This show is an eclectic mix of some of the past juried shows he has participated in, showing some of the versatility in his portfolio.
  • John is now retired in North Carolina where he and his wife Tami are building their new home.  Their travels and life around the world have contributed to his photographic growth and artistic eye.

The images displayed in this show each have a story. However, the frames share the story with ‘Nebraska roots’. One of my brother-in-laws started tearing down old barns in eastern Nebraska and shared some of the wood with me for frames. The frames are far from perfect… warped and rough with a rich history. In fact, the wood may be well over 100 years old which adds to the uniqueness of each frame.
